High-Value-Creating Team Coaching

Change is an inevitable part of a dynamic business environment, and the ability to navigate it successfully is a measure of the health of your organization. As a systemic team coach, I (and my co-coaches) bring a perspective that sees not only the team, but it’s stakeholders, connections, and ecosystem.

We work in partnership with the team – and teams of teams – to drive organizational transformation. Whether a merger & acquisition, change management initiative, or a desire to drive greater value for customers and communities, systemic team coaching supports a variety of positive outcomes, including the opportunity to:

  • Identify what the world of tomorrow needs and engage your team and its partners in finding and implementing solutions
  • Empower teams to collaborate and communicate effectively
  • Identify and address gaps and points of friction throughout the system
  • Strengthen connections with stakeholders and ecosystem partners
  • Harness healthy conflict to surface and resolve issues, leverage diversity and support innovation
  • Build trust and resilience
  • Increase clarity and alignment among team members
  • Build strong relationships based on trust and shared purpose and vision
  • Increase the quality of group process, performance, and engagement
  • Increase creativity, productivity and synergies – within the team and across the organization
  • Ensure that the essential elements of a healthy team are in place
  • Improve team and organizational effectiveness

How Team Coaching Works

We work together to build a custom-tailored team coaching program that fits your situation and organization. We can leverage a variety of approaches and tools ranging from…

  • Team self-assessments and 360s and/or stakeholder interviews
  • Team coaching off-sites and virtual sessions
  • Live coaching in “business as usual” meetings
  • Team of teams coaching for system-wide alignment and solutioning
  • Stakeholder engagement sessions
  • 1:1 coaching for individual team members and leaders
  • Leadership development programs in a group coaching format

Programs typically include a 3- to 6-month discovery phase to lay the foundation and gather input and data upon which to build, followed by a co-created team coaching journey ranging from 6 to 12 months.

The decision to bring Judy in as a team coach had a deeply positive impact on my team and our division. Her approach to team coaching is empowering and solution-focused, and it encouraged and challenged my leadership team to find their own autonomy and voice to surface the challenges and dynamics they were facing and work together as a true team to come up with solutions. Her positivity and genuine curiosity, combined with her non-judgmental neutrality and sincere desire to understand what a dynamic is, creates a comfortable and safe space for people to dig into the real issues.

You can trust Judy as a team coach to be solution-focused, positive, curious, insightful, encouraging, and incredibly professional. You can trust her to take your team and do the in-depth work that’s needed to truly make a difference in your team’s dynamics. For us, what started as a collection of siloed individual leaders is now a more unified and powerful team that continues to support each other across programs and come up with ways to team better together, even in really emotional and potentially traumatizing situations. All of this has resulted in a much-improved and more seamless experience for the youth we serve.

Testimonial Letter

Collaborating with Judy has been an incredible journey, both professionally for me and for our executive team. Judy possesses an exceptional blend of kindness, presence, keen observation, honesty, brilliance, and fairness. She has an innate ability to truly see and hear each individual she works with, while fearlessly posing the tough questions we often shy away from. Among the most balanced, humorous, and compassionate professionals I’ve encountered, Judy consistently earns my recommendation.

My introduction to Judy occurred during a cohort for the Nonprofit Lifecycles Institute, where her impact on me was immediate. Recognizing my need for support as I advanced into an executive role within my organization, I gravitated towards her expertise. Transitioning into leadership carries unforeseen challenges, and despite my history of active contribution within teams, doubts lingered regarding my readiness for expanded responsibilities. Simultaneously, our organization navigated the transition to a new CEO amidst the loss of our previous leader, prompting a reevaluation of our executive structure and teamwork dynamics. Initially seeking professional development, we found ourselves benefiting immensely from Judy’s executive coaching, which extended to fostering cohesion among our leadership team.

To say that Judy played a pivotal role during this period would be an understatement. She navigated our busy schedules, facilitated crucial conversations, and fostered a sense of unity among our leadership team. Equipping us with effective communication tools, Judy guided us through challenging disagreements and prevented potential conflicts, preserving our team’s cohesion during an incredibly difficult transition.

Though it’s been two and a half years since our initial engagement, the impact of Judy’s guidance endures. We continue to implement the skills acquired from her coaching, occasionally seeking her assistance in resolving conflicts and providing individual support. The culture of honesty and grace cultivated within our team has bolstered trust and contributed to our remarkable staff retention. Personally, Judy’s mentorship has fostered my growth as a more empathetic leader and colleague, enriching both my professional journey and that of our team.

I’m eager to share more about our experience with Judy and welcome inquiries from those interested in learning more. Please feel free to reach out to me directly for further discussion!
